A beautifully proportioned upholstered cabriole leg stool in red walnut, from the Georgian era, featuring an attractive (later) needlepoint covering. This piece was purchased by my Mother in the early 1980’s from my brother Michael Baylis at Summers Davis Antiques in Wallingford. She crafted the needlepoint covering herself and used it as her dressing table stool for over 40 years.
The interior strengthening corner brackets are later but old.
